Welcome to the BLOG! We are so
excited we can keep everyone up to date about the wedding
plans and our "activities!" So, June flew by, and we were barely in one place for more than three days - it was very fun though! After our last days of school, we drove back to Illinois - 27 hours straight (we know you're jealous) and thankfully made it without any real concerns (the pets did really well too). We attended a BBQ at our friend's John & Sarah's and Shelley attended a Bridal Shower for her friend Sarah. We were able to spend some time in Rockford with Dave's dad, and meet up with our friends out there. Shelley stood up in her friend Michelle's wedding to Mike. The wedding was held in Bloomington, and so we stayed there for a few days (photo of Bridal Party & one of us). Shelley attended another Bridal Shower, this one for her friend Jessica and won the TP wedding dress contest!






We then drove down to Columbia, SC with Dave's Dad, Roger, to visit with Dave's Mom, Cookie, and Step-Dad, Doug. We stayed there for a few days (photo of Dave & Cookie on Riverwalk), and then spent a day in Myrtle Beach before Dave's sister Tiffaney got married in Charleston. We spent time with Dave's extended family and enjoyed the beaches! We then traveled on to Atlanta to stay with Dave's Uncle Nat & Aunt Pat. We were able to see the Georgia Aquarium & Olympic Park.

After we returned from the south, we celebrated Shelley's Brother, Brian's, graduation from ISU. There was a party at Shelley's parent's house and lots of family in town. All-in-All, June was a great month, and a great way to start off our summer vacation - there should still be plenty of things to keep us entertained the remainder of the summer though! FYI - June 27, 2008 (ONE YEAR TO GO!!!) We have got a lot of things accomplished for the wedding...the reception site, ceremony site, photographer and the dress are all set! It is all going really smoothly (thank goodness!) . We hope to get our Bridal Party finalized as well as locate a DJ, Florist and figure out a location for the rehearsal dinner & welcome cocktails still...We'll keep everyone posted!
