While Sara Roether was in town for Shelley's Bridal Shower, they hit up Stoney's North Forty and busted some Country Moves...Shelley misses her Rhino!!
We attended Samantha & Rich's wedding at the end of May (Shelley's cousin). It was a great time to see family and welcome Rich to the family. We had an amazing time and wish Sam & Rich all the best!!

During this year's Kresstivus celebrations, the girls went out to celebrate Melissa's Dirty Thirty, Pirate Princess style. We went to Stoney's and to closed down Carnival Court. It was a marvelous Girl's Night! Happy Dirty Thirty Melissa!!!
We are able to spend a day out on Lake Mead when our friend Kristin's dad took us out on the boat. We swan as close to the Hoover Dam as we could and put in to a few little islands...it was a beautiful day to be out on the water...Thanks Mr. Kohorst!!

Kresstivus Eve was spent in the pool, with a bonfire and a few cold ones. We had a relaxing evening in preparation for the wild weekend ahead!
During the Kresstivus weekend, we spent of the evenings at Fremont Street. We ate at Mickie Finns and the theme for the summer there is "Summer of 69." We're sure everyone knows how much Shelley enjoys a good theme!

Yet another event for Kresstivus was a 51's game...a local baseball farm team. We were able to sit under the misters and watched a decent game, we left as the 51's were losing at the top of the 9th...of couse they ended up rallying and pulling out a win as soon as we left :) Go 51's!!!

A few of us went hiking at Red Rock Canyon during Kresstivus, it was a gorgeous day and we were able to climb some of the rocks and stopped at most of the spots of interest. Red Rock was as beautiful as ever!
The annual Kresstivus House Party was held at the Kohorst Lake House. The "game" for the year was to earn an official Kresstivus Water Bottle filled with a special potion...the party was again, as always, a SUCCESS
Dave and Shelley chaperoned the school trip to Knott's Berry Farm. The top 50 students at Gibson Middle School were given the chance to go to one of the amusement parks in California...we got on the bus at 3:30 am, and got back to the school at 11:30pm the following night...it was a long day, but a lot of fun!
We met up with the Rockford Group at Carlyle's. It was quite nice to be able to spend time with EVERYONE!
Shelley's mom, Debbie, spent a week in Vegas visiting us. One of our tourist stops was at the Wax Museum at The Venetian. Shelley & Debbie obviously had to pose with good ole Abe!
Shelley's friends (and former roommates), Brittany & Kristin, threw her a Hawaiian Style "Stock the Bar" Bridal Shower. It was a great day and everyone had an awesome time! Plus, we came out of it was a massive amount of alcohol :)
For Mother's Day, we took Debbie to Calico, California. Calico is a Ghost Town, and now tourist location. We walked around, took pictures and saw all the old mining town goodness. We later had dinner at Peggy Sue's 50's Diner... and awesome way to spend Mother's Day.
The Kentucky Derby was celebrated in style. We donned our sundresses, hats and headed to the Sports Book. We were the talk of the casino...everyone was very impressed with our authentic attire. What can I say, we always turn heads :)
Shelley's friends, Jackie & Liz, threw Shelley an amazing Bachelorette Party, and the best part was that is was a secret (She knew they were planning one, but didn't know what she was doing). Everyone dressed "fabulous" and donned our masquerade masks. We had dinner at Dick's Last Resort, attended Thunder From Down Under, and partied at The Playboy Club. Does a bachelorette party get much better!?!!?
