We traveled to IL the weekend of St. Patrick’s Day with the purpose of officially introducing Josie to her extended family and to attend a baby shower in her honor hosted by Grandma Cookie & Aunt Tiffaney. Josie met her Gram (Great Grandma Peggy) on Thursday and welcomed about 15 new faces that evening. The next day she met her Great Grandma Darva and Great-Great Aunt Earlene, and another 15 faces that evening. Saturday was her shower. It was a wonderful day filled with family. Josie has lots of cousin’s about her age (she’s the youngest) and they all enjoyed playing with one another…she will have a lot of fun playing with them when she gets a bit older! We all stayed at one of the local hotels that evening so we were able to have some more family time. (which was Josie’s first time in a hotel). It was a wonderful opportunity to see family and to welcome Josie to the family. We flew back to Vegas the next day and Grandma Debbie came with to begin her “nanny” duties now that both Dave and Shelley are returning to work.
