A neighboring town hosted a small parade and a festival in honor of 4th of July the following weekend. We went to the parade and were bombarded with candy! Josie really enjoyed the overall excitement, and of course the candy! Then, there was a petting zoo where she was fascinated by the rabbits, but wasn't too impressed with the pygmy goats that about toppled her on several ocassions. It was a good thing Daddy was nearby to "rescue" her. Then, they had a fire exhibit hosted by the local fire station that let the kids put out hteir own fire. Finally, Josie found a "life-sized" photo of Mickey Mouse. She saw him from across the festival and b-lined it straight there.
