September 2008

Shelley's cousin, Justin, and his wife, Caroline, were in Vegas on "business" and were able to spend some time with us. Justin hung out on that Friday night by our house, and then on Sunday we were able to all meet up for dinner. We always like having people out to Vegas (hint, hint)!

A large group of us tailgated the UNLV vs. Iowa game (that our Rebels WON!) and hung out at the game. We had a really fun group and we had a blast hanging out and cheering on our team! A bunch of us had a bonfire at our house afterwards. It was really fun!

Shelley is "consulting / coaching" a Pop Warner cheer squad, the Lonestars, this fall. Three of the girls are also on her Middle School Cheer Squad. They are a great bunch of girls and Shelley is having a really nice time coaching them.

Shelley headed back to IL in Sept. and got to spend some "quality" time with her friends. A bunch of them all met up at Bandito's and hung out! It was so nice seeing everyone and catching up....

While in IL, Shelley was also able to catch her cousin, Evan's, football game. Evan is the starting quarterback, safety, punter and field goal kicker for the team. He is pretty much the star! Imagine the looks Shelley got while wearing his jersey! Yeah Brenner!

Cooper, Shelley's Cousin & Godson, is also playing football this Fall for the Wildcats. He is doing great! He is also the Varsity Football Water Boy for Hampshie High School, quite a coveted position!

Also in IL, Shelley caught up with the Judson University crowd at the Homecoming Game....sadly, it isn't quite what it used to be! Since Judson is a smaller school the students really set the tone for the activities/events...even the president said they were pretty tame! He also said he can see why Vegas is a good fit for Shelley :) But, as always, we have fun!!! The Eagles won! Yeah Judson!

Shelley also was able to catch Wyatt's Wildcat Football game in IL. Wyatt's team WON! Wyatt played awesome, and Shelley, Grandma Peggy & Shelley's Dad, Jim, were there to cheer him on...GOOOO Wildcats!
