Happy Nine Months, Molly!!!

Molly is Nine Months Old!!  She is such a spunky little girl that does not like to sit still...she is very independent and wants to do things on her own, at her time.  She is moving everywhere in her own little stylish Army Crawl.  She will crawl traditionally for a few paces, and then drop down to her Army Crawl and she is a speed demon.  We call her our Ground Squirrel.  She is still eating like a champ - but taking less bottle, more juice and pureed food.  She still will eat anything we put in front of her - sometimes with some questionable faces, but she'll eat it!  We are still waiting on that first tooth, but given our teething history with Josie, we won't be too surprised if there isn't one for a few more months.  It does make some traditional finger foods at this age a little more difficult, but we're doing just fine.  She has done bananas as finger foods, kiwi, green beans and puffs.  She is doing extremely well with her pincer grip and likes feeding herself.  She is standing really well with support, and at times will balance a bit on her own (not for very long though).  She is such a smiley little things, and will flash that grin at the drop of a hat.  She is starting to grow into a few 9 month outfits (though it's more out of necessity to accommodate the cloth diapers than her actual growth!) She is still outweighing Josie by about a pound at this age - but given that she was born 1/2 a pound heavier, and 9 days early we're not too surprised!  She eyes are showing more brown than blue these days, and her hair is getting lighter and lighter.  She was introduced to the pool again, and hasn't totally been won over quite yet.  It's not that she doesn't enjoy it - but just isn't sold on the "fun" factor!  She is still out sleeping beauty as well.  She typically sleeps on average for about 11 hours straight through the night.  From about 7:30/8:00 pm to 6:30/7:00am.  We have been incredibly blessed with her relaxed spirit and "easy" demeanor.  She is however starting to want to get into EVERYTHING!  She likes to launch herself from our laps towards what she desperately wants, and we need to have a death grip on her to keep her from spilling over!  Josie continues to be fantastic with our Molly as well - calling her sweetie pie. Molly Mae and Miss Molly.  She will bring her toys, feed her puffs and give her hugs and kisses.  We can't believe that Molly is already nine months old and we've been able to watch her become such a fun, spunky and fantastic little girl!
