We spent our first full day in Hawaii touring Pearl Harbor. Dillon is stationed at Kaneohe Bay, which is about 12 miles from Pearl Harbor.
We were way off with the time changes and were up early enough to see the sun rise!
Pinapples in the trees!
Aloha!

The Bowfin
USS Arizona Anchor
We took a ferry across the bay to the memorial.
75 years later and the oil is still leaking from the ruins
The oil, making a trail out to sea
The Missouri
We had lunch at a restaurant on base, Cafe 608
The wreckage of the Utah (it is a small memorial located on Pearl Harbor)
A view of The Arizona Memorial from the other side of the bay

On Pearl Harbor, there is an abandoned bunker - we're not sure if it dates back to WWII, or the Cold War, etc. but it's old. You wouldn't be able to find it if you didn't know where it was. It is now in the landing path from Honolulu's airport so as we explored the bunker we heard planes overhead - it was almost eerie.
After a drink at Sam Choy's on Pearl Harbor our day was complete!
